2023 Edition

Art. 1 — ORGANIZATION

The Amateur Sports Association Abruzzo Runners, with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Colledimezzo, organizes the fifth edition of the running race with two mixed road/trail routes of 17.5 km and 10 km, named "ColleTrail - Memorial Rosario Romele", on July 15, 2023. The race has been approved by CSEN, and the race director will be Mr. Diego Carrea, President of the ASD Abruzzo Runners.

Art. 2 — ROUTES AND PRE-RACE INFORMATION

Route 1, approximately 17.5 km long, follows the SP 216 provincial road that goes around Colledimezzo and the trails of Colle Butino, then descends to the road along the lake that runs alongside Lake Bomba and goes back up to SP 216 to join Route 2, 10 km long. The positive elevation gain (D+) is approximately 700 meters. The route is fully marked with appropriate signage, special tapes, and signs. Additionally, for safety reasons, visibility, and to ensure the well-being of the participants, there will be a cut-off gate between km 5 and km 6 (located on SP 216), set at 45 minutes. This means that anyone who registers for Route 1, 17.5 km, and does not reach the cut-off gate within 45 minutes of the start (approximately 6:45 PM), will be redirected to Route 2, a total of 10 km.

Route 2, approximately 10 km long, follows the SP 216 provincial road that goes around Colledimezzo and the trails of Colle Butino, with a positive elevation gain (D+) of 425 meters. The route is fully marked with appropriate signage, special tapes, and signs.

The start and finish for both routes will be at Piazza Vizioli in Colledimezzo, with the start scheduled for 6:00 PM. However, ALL registered athletes must collect their bib strictly between 4:30 PM and no later than 5:30 PM, or they will be excluded from the race. Bib collection and finalization of registrations will take place at Piazza Vizioli, 66040 Colledimezzo (CH), the location where the race will finish. Several parking areas will be available for all runners. The organization reserves the right, for logistical and safety reasons, to change the race route, suspend the race during its course, cancel it, and modify the starting time due to force majeure. In case of cancellation, the registration fee will not be refunded in any way, and no charges can be made to the organization as the race will be rescheduled with the same characteristics on a date to be determined.

The organization recommends wearing trail shoes for Route 2, as the route is approximately 70% on trails, and road shoes for Route 1, as the route is approximately 60% on roads.

Art. 3 — REQUIREMENTS AND REGISTRATION

All individuals who are at least 16 years old on the day of the race, affiliated with an FIDAL sports club or another EPS (Sports Promotion Body) recognized by CONI, and possess a valid medical certificate for sports participation dated July 15, 2023, can register for the race. A non-competitive sports medical certificate issued by a general practitioner is sufficient. Non-affiliated athletes residing in Italy can participate ONLY if they have the mandatory medical certificate mentioned above. Foreign citizens not residing in Italy must demonstrate compliance with the health regulations in force in their country and, if their country of residence requires it by law, they must have a medical certificate. In either case, a copy of the medical certificate must be uploaded to the designated upload section during the registration process on the website www.colletrail.com or sent to the email address infocolletrail@gmail.com. The organization reserves the right to not accept further registrations if the maximum number of participants, set at 150 people, is reached in the days preceding the race.
